It's not every day you see a pro-illegal asshat receive their come-uppance. Well, today's that day.

Mr. Henry Vega wrote a piece for the Ventura County Star just absolutely chock-a-bloc full of the usual pro-illegal canards. He refers to anyone who opposes illegal immigration as uninformed, emotional and essentially nativist though I don't believe he uses that term.

Normally I would reprint some of that sad tale here and then in a leisurely fashion proceed to smack the crap out of him. This time it appears I'm too late. If you click through to the link (registration required), make sure to read the comments.

Your column was so self-serving that it was totally foolish. Give workers good pay and working conditions and they will come. Then CAREFULLY and FAIRLY extrapolate the increased costs and pass them along to the consumer. Spending endless billions of dollars for the privilege of watching my country descend to third world conditions so I can save 10 cents on a head of lettuce is no bargain!
A very tightly controlled program of seasonal migrant labor would be acceptable if done right. No women, (they have babies)and the workers must be restricted to agricultural work only. If they go to the cities, you farmers will say you need 3 million more, ad nauseum. Also, they would need to gome to get the majority of their pay.
I know people want a better life, but all 6 billion of them can't come here to have it. Export the dream, don't import the people!
