The Girly-Men of Graz

***Warning*** Graphic photo beneath the fold!!

The Terminator has been terminated in his hometown.

On Tuesday, a day after officials in Arnold Schwarzenegger's Austrian birthplace of Graz removed his name from a soccer stadium to comply with the California governor's wishes, they deleted references to him on the city's Web sites.

Full story here.

He was reacting to fierce criticism from opponents in his hometown who denounced him for refusing to block the Dec. 13 execution in California of Stanley Tookie Williams.
Everyone certainly has the right to their own opinion concerning the death penalty, but...

Capital punishment is illegal in Schwarzenegger's native Austria, where many people consider it barbaric. Opposition had run especially high in Graz, whose official slogan is "City of Human Rights."
Barbaric? Barbaric means primitive, fierce, brutal or cruel. Tookie died quietly by lethal injection as punishment for the crimes of which he was lawfully convicted. You want barbaric? Try this on for size:

That's what I call barbaric.

No wonder Arnold felt the need to leave his hometown and its girly-men behind.
