Profiles In Race Whoring Courage

This is my Congressman Luis V. Gutierrez. Mr Gutierrez is a race pandering whore. Mr Gutierrez makes me ill.

Here's what I want to consider today. At what point does one step over the line between advocating for one's constituency and being a race pandering whore? This guy will do anything, say anything to get two, ten, a million more illegal aliens on American soil to vote for him and his reconquista pals.

I know some great Hispanic Americans who would probably be angry with me for using the hyphenate. They would say they are Americans, nothing more nothing less, and they are right, they are great Americans.

But as surely as these folks are great Americans there are bad apples. Let's take a look at what Mr. Gutierrez has to say for himself on his website--

At the same time, Gutierrez' tireless leadership championing the causes of the Latino and immigrant communities has led to greater responsibilities within the U.S. Congress and has earned him widespread acclaim throughout the country-- culminating in his selection as the most admired Latino leader in the country, according to a recent nationwide survey.

After the Republican take-over of Congress following the 1994 elections-- and the unveiling of the GOP's harsh, anti-immigrant agenda-- Gutierrez emerged as one of the most vocal and active defenders of the rights of legal immigrants, and as one of the most staunch opponents of legislation aimed at denying immigrants their access to protections and benefits.

Additional pieces of legislation introduced by Gutierrez include a bill to reinstate the Section 245(i) visa program, to keep family members united while an individual awaits the awarding of a visa; and a bill to crack-down on firms that overcharge their customers-- in particular, consumers in the Mexican-American community-- sending money via international wire transfers.

Gutierrez has consistently pushed for effective legislation to stop crime and gun-related violence. He was an original sponsor of legislation to ban nineteen types of semi-automatic assault weapons and introduced a bill to ban the cheap, easily-concealed guns known as "Saturday Night Specials"-- one of the most aggressive pieces of gun safety measures put before the House.

In Chicago, he has held citizenship workshops offering comprehensive assistance to prospective citizens. He was the first member of Congress to gain permission from the Immigration and Naturalization Service to complete and transmit such documents in bulk. His workshops have helped more than 25,000 people take
the first steps toward citizenship. Other members of the
Congressional Hispanic
Caucus
have replicated his workshops in their home districts.

So let's hear the man speak for himself...

GUTIERREZ: I say that because, Colonel North, in the absence of a requisite political will, and the resources to deport between seven and 10 million undocumented people who work each day at some of the worst jobs in our nation, then we should organize and we should tax them and we should regulate their stay in this country.

GUTIERREZ: You know something, Mr. Scarborough? And I think your-that very question begs the following one. Where is it in this country the requisite resources and political will to deport millions and millions of undocumented workers that work in our agricultural industry, in our hotel industry and all kinds of industries.

Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.), chairman of the House Democratic Caucus' Immigration Task Force, believes illegal aliens who are immediate family members of U.S.
citizens should not be deported for their violations of U.S. immigration
laws.

"Amnesty ? there?s an implication that somehow you did something wrong and you need to be forgiven," grouses Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D- Ill.).

Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) believes the people he calls "undocumented workers" should not be punished for violating American immigration laws to enter or remain in the U.S. illegally.

Today [June 29], Congressman Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) held a press conference calling for President Bush to grant a Presidential pardon for 6 illegal aliens who had been deported. The illegal aliens sneaked back into this country some time ago and had been living here in violation of the law. They all individually returned to Mexico for a short visit and then attempted to sneak across the border once again, only this time they were apprehended by the Border Patrol. They were summarily deported, in
accordance with the laws of the United States. Congressman Gutierrez is the chief cosponsor of the Secure America and Orderly Immigration Act, a bill that would give all illegal aliens legal residence in exchange for a small fee. Gutierrez referred to the border as, “an inflexible law that must be changed.” During the English portion of his speech, Gutierrez bemoaned the fact that the law did not permit illegal aliens to cross the border freely.

That crazy Luis! He's loving the Illegals!

So, let's return to my question. Is this guy a race pandering whore, he certainly looks and smells like one to me. I can't seem to find many instances of him standing up for anyone other than Hispanics, and in specific, illegal Hispanics.

It's entirely possible that I've lost my mind, but as far as I can tell, my Congressman supports Mexico over the United States. Just to keep the giggles flowing, I live in a gerry-mandered district. Care to guess whom it favors?

So, just to be perfectly clear. My Congressman is selling out ALL Americans of any color by pursuing a suicidal strategy of encouraging illegal immigration and he most likely cannot be votes out of office due to the heinous practice of gerrymandering, okay, I'm clear now.

Somebody please explain this to me. Am I a racist? I have nothing against Hispanics, but when any group decides it's above the law, that I have a problem with. A big problem.

These quislings need to go. They need to be voted out of office, I need people to see themselves as Americans, or to seriously consider leaving the country so somebody can get down to the serious business of running this country somewhere other than into the ground.

So, Mr. Gutierrez, you are the first recipient of the Freedom Folks Race Pandering Whore award.

Nicely done!
