Bill Richardson: Race Pandering Whore

The head of IFIRE just sent me an email containing a number of quotes from Hispanic activists.

Let's just say that...

A.) It's blogworthy

B.) Oh My Freakin' God!

Let's just take a peek at one shall we?

4) Bill Richardson, New Mexico Governor, former U.S. Congressman, UN Ambassador, U.S. Sect’y of Energy. Interviewed on radio Latino USA responding to Congressional Immigration Reform legislation in 1996.--“There are changing political times where our basic foundations and programs are being attacked, illegal and legal immigration are being unfairly attacked. We have to band together, and that means Latinos in Florida, Cuban-Americans, Mexican-Americans, Puerto Ricans, South Americans, we have to network better - we have to be more politically minded, we have to put aside party and think of ourselves as Latinos, as Hispanics more than we have In the past.”
Look, I always thought Governor Richardson was an affable guy, and by the by, NOT a member of MENSA.

This though?

Illegal Immigration is being unfairly attacked? WTF! And here I thought english was his native tongue, OOPS! My bad, so sorry.

Because if english is his native tongue? That may very well rank as the stupidest thing I've ever read. I'm dumber for having read it, and I'm sorry for any adverse effect it may have on you dear reader.

I'd like to take a moment to puncture a little balloon of deceit that seems to constantly crop up regarding this issue. Hispanics as a whole do just fine in this country so long as...THEY COME HERE LEGALLY! Study after study has shown this, and conversely, when Hispanic folk come here ILLEGALLY?

They fare very poorly on average for several generations irrespective of any and all hand-outs (i.e. vote whoring) our most splendiferous government gives away. If you're curious I recommend checking out the Jordan report which was begun during the Clinton administration and is an excellent resource.

I think it's important to remember this asshat recently declared his state's border, the Arizona border in a state of emergency. It's hard to read this action as anything but a cheap political ploy.

And to think, this...gentleman wishes to be your president?
