They Just Don't Get It
This just in: Right Wing Bloggers be de debbil
Hate behind right-wing blogburst
ANTONIA ZERBISIAS
While Muslim religious extremists are rioting in the streets of Beirut, Gaza City and Kabul, Scandinavian embassies are being torched and Jordanians are deprived of their Danish feta over cartoons that were never actually published in any legitimate newspaper, the right-wing blogosphere has been staging its own "blogburst": the act of reproducing the offending depictions of the Prophet Muhammad. And let's not forget the three totally fictional cartoons toted around the Middle East by a lying ass Danish Imam. Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot this article was certified 100% fact free!
Follow their politics and you'll understand why they're on this particular blogwagon: they hate Muslims. In fact, if they were to write about Jews the way they sometimes do about followers of the Prophet Muhammad, they'd be denounced as anti-Semites or Holocaust deniers.Nope, nice try, we have some lovely parting gifts, thanks so much for playing "Lying ass journalist takes a spin."
When you say..."if they were to write about Jews the way they sometimes do about followers of the Prophet Muhammad." I'm sure what you're trying to say in your weak pathetic fashion is that you take offense to anyone telling the truth about maniacal followers of the Religion Of Pieces. yeah, sorry, we're gonna keep on keeping on around this here beyatch until our Muslim pals figure out that high explosives and murder aren't the best possible method of political expression.
No doubt, the Kartoon Karnage Kapers are inexcusable, and threaten to escalate into even more senseless death and destruction. That's why the absolute glee with which this has been received by the online cons strikes me as so puzzling. Do they enjoy the blood sport of watching out-of-control Muslim mobs in the streets?Glee? How about resignation. I love how this is reported as though Muslims aren't even part of the equation. As if they're a caged bear we keep poking with a stick for our amusement. Uh-huh, how about we will keep poking that bear until it calms down a little and figures out that we ain't budging on this.
It's also bemusing to see how they have suddenly declared solidarity with the heretofore "appeasers" of Europe for republishing the cartoons.I don't see Europe as one indistinguishable piece, and frankly I'm shocked, shocked that Mz. Zerbisias isn't more sensitive to the plight of poor, misunderstood Europeans. Oh, did I say that out loud? How about this, I was pleased as punch that Denmark, which seemed to be on the primrose path to dhimmitude threw off that shackle and snarled in defiance, pushing back against their minority oppressors. Pleased as punch I say.
As for violence, I would guess that Muslims are more victims than perpetrators.Wow, I wonder if this bonehead has enough IQ points to break single digits. NO, they are not victims, that is a ruse to pull in gullible journalists and assorted asshats, and it appears to be quite a successful ruse judging by the rug burns this individual is sporting after a solid boo-hoo session with a bunch of puling professional victims. "Whaah! They drew a picture of the prophet, I'm just so sad and misunderstood that I'll have to go make death threats and burn things!"
After all, when Irshad Manji published her controversial The Trouble With Islam: A Wake Up Call for Honesty and Change in 2003, no harm ever came to her despite so many — again right-wing — bloggers' musings that it would. That said, their fears helped Manji move a lot of books around the world.Yeah, I find it interesting that you cite this example, as opposed to say, oh I don't know, Salmon Rushdie? No. Mz. Asshat, we do not have the problem of violent Muslim demonstrations and death threats in the US and Canada, yet. You attempt to prove that people's fears regarding Islam are overblown by showing one example where someone wasn't threatened by Islamofascists. How about all those who have been injured or killed by those same sweethearts you're pimpin' for here?
