Tarjetas Dorado...

Or, as we like to say around here, the American can go screw card!

Source: The Stein Report

The Stein Report has learned of an secret briefing for Senate staffers by the Bush administration today. In a move to build support for Bush's guest worker amnesty plan, administration officials talked about how they would actually implement the program. Jaws dropped as the administration reps explained the centerpiece of the program, a "Gold Card" that would enable illegal aliens to enter the U.S. at will, and work at any job with no labor market or other tests needed but would deny them citizenship. "Gold Cards" would be valid forever, similar to current "Green Cards" but illegal aliens holding a "Gold Card" would not be able to adjust their status through naturalization.

See, this is perfect, all the benefits of slavery, none of the fuss and muss of actually providing good jobs for your citizens. Or, as those in the Bush administration like to say, win-win!

Having had the misfortune of voting these jokers into office all I can say is...

1.) I'm sorry

2.) Kerry was actually worse

This is quite possibly the most politically tone deaf move this administration has made yet, and these are the folks who brought you Harriet Myers and the secret surprise Dubai port deal. Do they really think we're that dumb?

But wait there's more...

DHS Has No Fraud Detection Until 2011, Report Finds - Guest Workers Would Be Un-Monitored Till Then

Yes, that's right boys and girls, these *ahem-hardworking-ahem* folks would be here in essence unmonitored in any way until 2011! Is there anything government can't screw up?

"A draft government report shows the agency that would oversee any future guest-worker program doesn't have a handle on fraud, doesn't do enough to deter it, and won't have a fraud-management system in place until 2011 -- years after its proponents want a program to start," the Washington Times reports. "A copy of the draft, obtained by The Washington Times, says U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has looked at the prevalence of fraud in just a few of the types of visas it now issues and doesn't give adjudicators the time or tools to detect fraud or refer it to authorities for prosecution. The report by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) said that USCIS can't tell the extent of immigration benefit fraud, but 'it is a serious problem.'" According to the Times, "Sen. Charles E. Grassley, Iowa Republican and one of those who requested the report, wouldn't talk about specifics until it is released, but he told a Judiciary Committee meeting last week that senators would 'be shocked if you learned about the internal fraud and abuse at the Citizenship and Immigration Service.' Mr. Grassley said from what he's seen, it's 'unrealistic' to expect USCIS to administer a guest-worker program properly. 'Officials are being bribed. Visas are being given away. Green cards are being sold,' he said."

So just to be clear. We're going to allow millions upon millions of more aliens into this country then do absolutely nothing to make sure they're being paid fairly or not being held as slaves.

Okay, I was just checking.
