Happy Earth Day!!
Happy Earth Day to you!
Happy Earth Day to you!
Happy Earth Day dear earthlings!
Happy Earth Day, to you!
Um, okay I can vamp for a couple of minutes here, sure. So, turns out we live on what's commonly referred to as a planet. Large ball hurtling through the inky void of space and all that.
Um, is it just me or does anybody else find earth day kinda bizarre? Do we bury gifts to Gaia? Does anybody know what the old girl likes? I'm guessing she doesn't want a set of Sears special unguents carefully prepared by future Chinese organ donors, comes with a loofa though, and it's wapped in extra crackly celophane.
Here's an exciting Earth Day quote I stumbled across (no, I'm not drunk, yet)...
On a slightly more serious note. If you've never read Michael Chrichton's refutation of the global warming phenomenon it's here. I find his analysis compelling and I've yet to hear any refutation that didn't begin with some variant of "...but he's just a Bushbot" or "I think he's an asshole" or even "you listen to that guy? he's just a writer."
Again, if you've never read it I found it very interesting and thought provoking. And for that matter, I'm just a writer so...THPPPTH! (In the immortal words of Bill The Cat!)
Happy Earth Day everyone!

". . . on April 22, 1970, Earth Day was held, one of the most remarkable happenings in the history of democracy. . . "Um, I think that was a mighty slooooow news day, or they were drunk, yeah that's the ticket!
