Arpaio confronts immigrant rights supporters (funny stuff bolded for your reading pleasure)

PHOENIX A street level debate erupted today between Sheriff Joe Arpaio and immigrant rights supporters.
A group calling itself Phoenix Copwatch demonstrated outside the sheriff's Downtown Phoenix headquarters demanding an end to the arrests of illegal immigrants.

Arpaio confronted protesters and told them he's not backing down.

The protesters say they're horrified at the thought of Arpaio's posse hunting down immigrants.  (I'll wager thier also horrified by proper hygiene, but that's another day--ed)

The sheriff says he won't change his policy and will not stop his deputy and volunteer posse operations and crackdown on illegal immigration.

Where in the hell is Darwin when you really need him?
