A Sad Day for Justice in America

I just looked at the clock on my computer at work, and realized that the hour for Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean to turn themselves in to federal authorities has just passed. We'll be praying for their safety, peace of mind, and that President Bush El Jefe will magically discover his justice bone and do the right thing by these agents.

Let them face the administrative penalty for their actions, but 11-12 years in federal prison is a huge miscarriage of justice -- especially when the illegal alien drug smuggler whose "civil rights" they were convicted of violating walks free. Free with an immunity agreement. Free with a second immunity agreement for smuggling more drugs and violating the first immunity agreement. Free to sue the U.S. for $5 million. Free period.
