Halfway to a Slice of Sanity in Arizona

Source: KVOA
The Arizona House approved a proposal today that would give Governor Janet Napolitano 10 (m) million dollars to pay for sending National Guard troops to the state's border with Mexico to detain illegal immigrants if there's a state of emergency at the international boundary.
Good news, and for a good reason...
The proposal at the Legislature is a response to a decision by four Tennessee National Guard members to back off and call in Border Patrol agents on January third as gunmen approached their observation post near the Arizona-Mexico border.
Having the Guard at the border and unable to do anything but observe and report to the Border Patrol is like sitting a toothless starving person in front of a steak: cruelly ineffective.

Let's hope the Arizona Senate shows the same good sense as the House.
