Merry Christmas to the DCCC

Well, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is busy spreading joy and good cheer this Christmas:

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the House,
The Republicans were stirring, especially The Louse.
There were gifts to be taken and given to Special Interest Friends
No worry about your future, on their Cronies They Spend.

Isn't it good to know that they're spending donations given for their stated purpose of "recruiting, assisting, funding, and electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives" on giving us all a Jerry Springer-style Christmas moment? I know I feel all warm and fuzzy. Thank you, DCCC, for classin' it up this holiday season.

Being a citizen of modest means, I can't afford to produce a glossy video cartoon to express my sentiments in return. I guess this will have to do:

'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the House
The Democrats were giving Christmas spirit a douse
Pelosi hung on to the podium with care
With hopes of shouting "The war's going nowhere."

Americans were nestled all snug in their beds
While visions of lost jobs danced in their heads
For an invasion of illegal immigrants had hit
And their congressmen were unwilling to take care of it

But back in the House there were more pressing matters
There were soldiers and heroes to rip into tatters
So Dems got all worked up and frothed at the mouth
And Murtha proclaimed that the war had gone south

It came to a head on a most sour note
When weary Republicans called for a vote
The Dems hemmed and they hawed and they shouted "Foul play!"
For, when it came to action, they had three votes all day

But the self-righteous rhetoric continued without ceasing
There was MSM to be courted, and endless press-releasing
When there are presidents to bash and illegals to defend
Sometimes Congressmen call on Senatorial friends

Now Kennedy! Now Kerry! Now Schumer and Durbin!
On Boxer! On Reid! On Feinstein and Clinton!
At the top of your lungs! Shout as loud as you can!
We've got to blame someone, and Bush is our man!

They took from the citizens and gave to lawbreakers
They attacked freedom givers and applauded freedom takers
They got into their cars and revved up the motors
And drove away with a grin as they flipped off the voters

Ignoring the people has become the name of the game
And the Dems do it diligently, apparently without shame
For I heard them exclaim as they drove out of sight
"Merry Christmas to all, unless you lean to the right!"
