A Beautiful Day In The...
A deadly fire overnight struck three houses a half a block down from our apartment. One man is confirmed dead and at least two people leapt from third story attics with serious burns.
These three houses were badly burned especially the middle one.
As you can see in this photo the roof is almost entirely gone.
While I was watching a hotspot flared, firemen quickly extinguished it.
As always a huzzah for the heroes of Chicago's FD!
I learned something this morning that I did not know. Were you aware that the Salvation Army sends this truck out to take care of firefighters? They provide water and hot beverages, I think that's pretty darn cool!
These are the folks manning the Salvation Army truck.
