Starving at the Feast
Referring to the overwhelming support for illegal alien amnesty in the House and Senate, Rep. Pat Leahy stated, “…the Senate passed bipartisan versions of comprehensive immigration reform to bring people out of the shadows while strengthening our borders…I look forward to building on that work next year and making progress on a bipartisan effort that improves security, supports our economy and respects the dignity of all people."
For a growing number of Americans, this “dignity of all people" nonsense means the unwelcome and forced imposition of Latin American culture and language, Latin American racism and sepratism, unfettered illegal alien access to taxpayer funded healthcare, rising crime, failing schools and overcrowding.
Americans are beginning to shake off the politically correct blinders they’ve been stuck with for the past few decades.
There have been approximately 24 communities across the nation that have tried to pass ordinances designed to make their communities, and the services those communities provide, less accessible to illegal aliens.12 have succeeded in passing those ordinances and 12 have failed. 5 or so have ordinances pending and another 31 are considering the passage of like measures.
That’s well over a million legal citizens of the United States taking a dramatic stand against the flood of illegal aliens and the subsequent negative effects on their communities.
If they were illegal aliens demonstrating in the streets, perhaps our elected class would pay more attention to them.
No doubt these citizens hoped for some sort of positive response from their Congressmen and Senators, but what they got were a number of costly law suits, initiated by the likes of the ACLU, the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund and the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, all fully intent upon showing those citizens the wisdom of keeping their mouths shut and doing as they’re told.
Now, Democrats and Republicans are discussing the need to reexamine that 698 miles of fence that the Republicans were so proud of during the last election cycle.
Looks like the fence idea is going nowhere. What a surprise.
A bigger surprise is the apparent hostility displayed by some in our new majority towards border security in general.
This is particularly surprising in light of future Speaker of the House Pelosi’s pledge to make manifest the security recommendations of the 9/11 commission.
Take for example, Bennie Thompson and Sheila Jackson Lee’s response to the House Committee on Homeland Security’s ‘A Line in the Sand: Confronting the Threat at the Southwest Border’ study released earlier this year.
Rep.Lee called the report “inflammatory, uncorroborated and partisan” and accused Republicans of offering “ simplistic and caustic rhetoric regarding immigrants and immigration reform which is too often articulated in an attempt to fuel anti-immigrant sentiment.”
Rep. Bennie Thompson, the soon to be head of the same House Committee on Homeland Security stated, “The use of a committee office to issue a report that includes misleading and uncited information is a breach of the public trust.”
Given the fact that the study includes statements from the F.B.I., US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Department of Justice, the Drug Enforcement Agency, the State Department, members of the house of Representatives and the US Border Patrol, one has to wonder what kind of sources Mr.Thompson considers legitimate.
Clearly the future activities of the House Committee on Homeland Security, along with the rest of our government, should prove to be very entertaining and frightening over the next two years.
All that notwithstanding, a Democratic majority is the best thing that could have happened to us.
We mistakenly pinned our hopes on the Reublicans and Mr.Bush, a one world, globalist, sneak with no attachment to the American People or the American Nation.
Indeed.
Mr. Bush considers America to be no more than an idea, a state of mind fixated on profit, free trade and cheap labor. Hence his embrace of third world illegal aliens who despise him.
The Democrats are a fractious mangle of special interest groups; some based on skin color, others on sexual preferences, some with other interests, but all united in their contempt for western culture. Especially the American culture.
The Republicans have displayed no less contempt or disregard. And what can you possibly call an elected government that continues to favor illegal alien foreign nationals over it’s own citizens and against it own laws?
As these people gear up for their presidential sweepstakes and grab whatever spoils they can in the meantime, it’s worth remembering that this particular government, with this particular executive, legislative and judiciary, is not the friend of the American people.
In fact, they have proven themselves to be the dedicated enemy of a vast majority of American citizens.
They will only get worse over the next two years. They can’t help themselves.
Like a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool returns to his folly.
It won’t stop till we stop it.
