CO: Driver of immigrant van deported at least twice

There's new information about the driver in the fatal van crash on Interstate 70 this week. Immigration authorities say 23-year-old Jose Franco Rodriguez had been sent back to Mexico at least two times. His last deportation came just two months ago from Denver. Authorities say he was driving a van packed with 14 illegal immigrants this week when he lost control in Idaho Springs. The van struck a tree and rolled, killing four people. He's being held for investigation of breaking a new state law that makes it illegal to transport illegal immigrants for money. Federal authorities are also investigating the smuggling ring they say he worked with.
