More Insanity from Prof. Daly

As if this from yesterday wasn't enough outrageous crap to spew forth from Warren County Community College's Professor John Daly, check this out from today's New Jersey Express-Times:

John Daly, an adjunct English professor, said Thursday he believes the war in Iraq will end only when American soldiers turn their guns on their commanders.

"The only possible end for the war is not going to be from our politicians, who represent corporations," Daly said. "We're going to stay in Iraq and occupy the Middle East as a profit source that will only change when the students at WCCC who are sent there to die for oil profits decide they're not going to die there."

You know what, Professor Daly? I could not possibly care less what you think will, will not, should, or should not end the war in Iraq. The very fact that you are taking advantage of a little press coverage that came your way because you threatened a student and encouraged soldiers to frag their superiors IN WRITING indicates very clearly how little I want to hear what you have to say.

I do, however, think you have a right to say it (in the public forum), which is much more respect for First Amendment rights than you seem able to muster.

"The administration at WCCC believes Rebecca Beach is an innocent student acting alone, but I recognized her literature right away as being part of a national right-wing movement," Daly said. "Her group is an ultra right-wing, possibly fascist, group."

Do you even know what fascism is? I'd suggest looking it up in the dictionary. You probably have one in your office, being part of the English Department, and all. Let me help you out, courtesy of Merriam Webster:

A political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition.

Hmmm. Forcible suppression of opposition. Perhaps a little something akin this?

I will continue to expose your right-wing, anti-people politics until groups like your won't dare show their face on a college campus.

Yep. Sounds like fascism to me.
