Would Someone Pass the MSM a Napkin?

They've been drooling again. From today's White House press briefing with Scott McClellan, regarding Cheney's accidental shooting of his hunting buddy:

When did the President know that the Vice President was the shooter? What time?

The Vice President did not call the President to tell him he was the shooter?

So when did the President definitively know that the Vice President had shot somebody?

On Sunday morning at 6:00 a.m., you were clear, personally, that the Vice President had, in fact, been the shooter?

It goes on. And on. And oooooooonnnnnn. It's excruciating.

Any masochists out there can read the transcript here. I highly recommend putting on a pot of strong coffee first.

OK, I understand that the MSM is full of strident liberals who would love nothing more than to report something -- ANYTHING -- negative on the current administration and/or anyone in it.

But where, I ask, is the indignation when it comes to matters that affect the entire country? Where is the doggedly persistent line of questioning about why the White House isn't doing anything to stop border incursions by the Mexican military onto our supposedly sovereign soil? Where is the unwavering focus in peppering the White House with questions about why illegal aliens, drug runners, and possible terrorists are still freely flowing into the country 4 1/2 years after 9-11?

Oh, I forgot. They're too busy weeing themselves over the Vice President having accidentally shot someone while hunting.

On second thought, skip the napkin -- can anyone spare some Depends?

P.S. On a serious note, thought and prayers go out to Mr. Whittington for a full and speedy recovery!
