Anybody want to sum up the intricacies of this new immigration bill/law/proposition for me? Near as I can tell all it's supposed to do is make illegal immigrants actually illegal. Seems to me we've been saying "illegal" when we mean "unofficial". Not that that's a bad thing, but we oughta change the wording.

It's like if you're renting an apartment with a few guys and you have one guy that comes over all the time and eats your food and uses your toilet paper and electricity, and then starts spending the night, and then just never leaves. Eventually it's like "dude, we like you and everything, but you gotta start paying rent." Where rent=taxes, apartment=america, and dude=multiple dudes.

This coming from a guy who greatly resents paying what taxes he does, but still.

So like... what does it do?
