How Many Again?

Newt Gingrich had this to say...
“If there is an honest debate about how many million people will be given a chance to come to America under the Senate bill, we’re told the number is between 30 million and 36 million people,” he said. “When the average American learns that, they are going to be furious if the Senate Republicans allow that kind of bill out of the Senate.
Now, I actually kind of like Newt, though in his book he's pretty damn squishy on this issue, but lately he's been saying the right things. One problem with his statement here...(from a Bear Sterns study)
1. The number of illegal immigrants in the United States may be as high as 20
million people, more than double the official 9 million people estimated by the
Census Bureau.

2. The total number of legalized immigrants entering The United States since 1990
has averaged 962,000 per year. Several credible studies indicate that the
number of illegal entries has recently crept up to 3 million per year, triple the
authorized figure.

3. Undocumented immigrants are gaining a larger share of the job market, and
hold approximately 12 to 15 million jobs in the United States (8% of the
employed)
So if the number has been wildly underestimated how many people would actually be receiving amnesty and then feverishly begin importing "New Americans?"

I think a reasonable figure would be more like 60 million. How furious will the actual American people be then?
