Defeatism Thy Name Is Bush

However, I want you to know that I don't believe we can enforce our border without having a rational way for people to come here to do work that Americans are not doing. It's called a temporary worker plan. A temporary worker plan recognizes that -- two things: one, there are jobs Americans aren't doing, they're just not, and yet there's a need. We got employers who are looking for employees to do a certain kind of work. And the second aspect is you've got to understand family values don't stop at the Rio Grande River. There are a lot of hardworking, decent people who want to put food on the table for their families. And therefore, they're willing to get in the back of an 18-wheeler, or walk across a hot desert to work.

And that's part of the phenomenon you're seeing, you see, and you can't enforce the border like the American people expect us with just Border Patrol and technology alone. So long as there's that strong desire for people to improve their lives, to do whatever it takes to come to America to work, it's going to make it really hard to enforce that border. And so the best way to do it is to have a plan so people don't feel like they got to sneak in. We ought to have a plan that says, you can come in legally for a limited period of time -- you can come in and do work Americans are not doing, and then you go home. But you can take that money you made and help your family. That's what we ought to have.
Oh, oh, I see, so we can't enforce our border now, but when we allow the mad hordes to come pouring in legally, then we'll be able to enforce our border.  Mr. President, look, I think we both know I think you're retarded but please allow me to explain why this is mind numbingly stupid.

There are a couple of hundred million people in the world who will do anything to break in, sneak in, force their way into this country and steal the American dream.  No matter how wide you open the spigot, there will always be more.  So when we start your laughably named "temporary" worker program, will we be taking all several hundreds of millions of workers?

No?

Why then won't our border still be unenforcable then?

Answer

Without a modicum of will it will always be unenforcable.  The trick you see is WANTING to enforce the border, since our illegal loving president refuses, nay, shreikingly, maddeningly, adamantly, petulantly spits in our faces on the issue of enforcement, why in god's name would, could we expect anything different when the love of his life, illegal aliens -- nee -- criminals get the amnesty he has such a woody for?

Answer

We won't

Thanks for playing "You can fool some of the people" Mr. President, we have some lovely parting gifts.
