Illegal alien charged with three felonies in traffic death of Utah family

The man accused of driving while intoxicated and killing three members of a Cedar Hills family on Christmas Eve has been formally charged with three counts of automobile homicide, a third-degree felony. Carlos Rodolfo Prieto, 24, also faces two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and one count of failing to obtain a drivers license. Prieto's immigration status is under review. On Wednesday, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials placed a hold Prieto, believed to be an undocumented immigrant from Mexico. Federal authorities have interviewed Prieto but declined to say what he told investigators.
