Arrest Of 24 Illegal Immigrants Draws Criticism

Baltimore, MD Federal agents confirmed that 24 people were arrested on immigration charges in Baltimore Tuesday at a spot where day laborers frequently congregate. WJZ's Kathryn Brown talked to a spokesman for the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement who said the illegal immigrants approached ICE agents who were sitting in unmarked cars and asked them if they needed labor. Hispanic advocates were quick to condemn the arrests. They say the ICE agents only targeted day laborers who appeared to be of Latino descent. "What sin against God have these people done?" asked immigrant advocate Father Bob Michlik. "To look for a decent job to try to maintain a decent family."
Uh, Padre? Last time I checked breaking the law was a sin. Course, I'm not an official padre, which means that my brain still functions.
