Suspected Smuggler Run Down On Freeway

SAN DIEGO -- A 32-year-old man was killed late Thursday night when he ran into traffic while fleeing a U.S. Border Patrol agent, authorities said. The man had been driving an Chevrolet Astro van westbound on Interstate 8 near Alpine when a Border Patrol agent pulled over the van on suspicion of immigrant smuggling at about 10:20 p.m., California Highway Patrol Officer Brian Penning said. When the van stopped, a passenger and the driver got out and began running. The agent ran after the driver, who tried to escape by running across the freeway. He was struck by a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica driven by a 69-year-old woman from Murrietta, Calif., Penning said.
I laughed! I cried! It was better than Cats!

Ahem, but I do want you to know that I felt bad, for the lady who has to live with killing this POS.
