Okay, This Is A Little Odd...

MJ and I went out Saturday afternoon to see if we could find some sort of cabinet into which she might place her 'officey' type stuff as one of our cats essential purpose in life appears to be knocking anything off her desk he can get a paw on.

So while we were at The Container Store we were looking at a cute little three shelf cabinet made of melamine. About a half an hour later we were at Costco and we noticed a set of fancy mixing bowls also made of melamine. I spent the next twenty minutes riffing on Steve Martin's old bit about "McDonald's."

Here's where the story takes an odd turn...

Del Monte Foods has confirmed that the melamine-tainted wheat gluten used in several of its recalled pet food products was supplied as a "food grade" additive, raising the likelihood that contaminated wheat gluten might have entered the human food supply.

What the hell is this stuff? Does it double as a delicious dessert topping/floor wax as well?

It is an odd time we live in, no?
