New Philadelphia — Police say a butthole stole a flag from a display and then set it ablaze. Officers say the downtown of New Philadelphia has been decorated in flags to celebrate Independence Day. Police say the butthole took one of the flags from the front of a business on West High. Officers found the butthole a short distance down the street with the flag still burning. They say he was intoxicated. The butthole could not speak English and through a translator gave his name as “Marco Polo.” He told the translator he is originally from Mexico. The butthole was arrested and charged with desecration of the U.S. flag and theft. He’s due in court on Wednesday. New Philadelphia is located in Tuscarawas County.
