Quotes of the Day

Meet Irma Romero, a Latino resident of Chicago, who has a woody for the Nation of Islam. I won't bother to fisk the whole article because, well, it's a publication of the Nation of Islam, refers to Louis Farrakhan as "the International Peacemaker," and because, frankly, I don't have the patience.

But Ms. Romero proferred several gems that I couldn't resist sharing. Read 'em and titter.

“We came here because we’ve seen the support of the Nation of Islam in regard to our struggle for immigration. We don’t want people to be deported..."

“When I think about Min. Ishmael, I love him very much because he speaks Spanish so very well..."

"He is like someone that is going to connect us—Hispanic people and Black people."

Thank God it's not about race.
