Jackbooted?

I strongly disagree that the President should suggest rounding up 11+ million people and ship them back to Mexico. It is, prima facia, Un-American to suggest that we engage is such jackbooted tactics.

Why?

Truly I don't understand this. These folks came illegally with the understanding that they could be booted out at any time. How then does booting them out rise to jackbooted behavour?

There are a lot of things about this debate that confuse me, this is at the top of the list. Show me one other crime where vigorous enforcement would be considered a bad thing.

If you can explain this to me have at it in comments, it literally makes no sense to me.
