Do We Need To Go Over This...Again? Sigh...

***UPDATE BELOW***
Immigration: Time runs out for 3 workers

Santos Cuellar Escobar knew it was inevitable; his time had come. After being picked up by immigration agents during a raid on a Tooele business in April, he was released two days later with a court date. He hoped somehow he would find a lawyer that could help him get a permit to work in Utah legally. After all, he had been working in the United States since he swam across the Rio Grande along the U.S.-Mexico border in 2005. But after nine long months of court hearings and lawyer fees, Escobar's stay in the United States officially came to an end this week.
Okay class, can anybody tell me what it is that would allow Senor Escobar to pursue this case in court? Anybody? Buehler?

That would be Civil Rights, which as an illegal alien he finds himself lacking. Let's review...

civil rights

the nonpolitical rights of a citizen; especially : the rights of personal liberty guaranteed to United States citizens by the 13th and 14th amendments to the Constitution and by acts of Congress (see here for another horrifying abuse of alleged civil rights by an invader)

The civil rights of a what?

Citizen!

That's not to say that non-citizens can never bring court cases in the United States, far from it, but, in this context he has as much right to a day in court as I do attempting to dance like Paula Abdul.

In fact I think it's time to break out the heavy weaponry. It's time to set the wayback machine to...

Jake's "Ham Sammich Rule"

Jake's Ham Sammich Rule: All illegal aliens are entitled to a well prepared and frankly delicious Ham Sammich before we ask them sternly to get the hell out, as always a fizzy soda is optional.

Cue whiny, Lefty, patchouli stink bleating about human rights in...3...2...1...

You know what annoying lefty blowholes? You're right, they do have human rights, and just cuz I like ya I'm going to explain the difference. Human rights are those rights that devolve on any human mammal simply because they are capable of drawing breath and exuding a bracing minty freshness. Civil rights are those rights bestowed upon citizens of a particular country (by particular I refer of course to their country of current citizenship).

So it would be an abuse of Senor Escobar's rights if I was to doink his nose like Moe of the three Stooges. It would not be an abuse of his human rights to deport him forthwith.

In other words Senor Escobar has all manner of civil rights, in his country, which would be Mexico. To put an even finer point on the matter all that should be required to toss his sorry ass out of this country would be to determine that he's entered the country illegally.

Let me show you how this could work...

ICE agent: Senor Escobar are you in this country illegally?

Senor Escobar: Si

Now, wasn't that easier?

****UPDATE***

Katie's Dad feels I ripped this idea off from his most excellent blog. This would not surprise me a bit as his blog has been a daily read for me ever since I began reading blogs. His most excellent take on this issue...Here! As I mentioned in comments, it is a point of honor on this blog to steal only from the very best!
