The Dog That Didn't Bark

I was reading this. When I realized that I really don't have a clue who's who in Iraq.

Then I read this. I think Mr. Hitchens hits the nail on the head. Maybe these folks are simply ready, as much as our media would have you believe otherwise.

I understand as well as anyone the simple dictum -- if it bleeds, it leads -- However, simple decency seems to beg that our media sources at least pretend to think it would be a good thing if Democracy broke out in Iraq.

I think it's time for our national media to remember that they play a role in this. God help them if they screw this up.
