Fisking the "want it both ways" Left

I've been following this debate @ The Political Teen

The comments by our good friends on the left have, after I was done chortling, made me wonder.

Do they even know that they demand everything to be both ways?

Let's take a look at what passes for thought on the left these days, shall we?

"Allow the debate" kicks things off --

O’Reilly is wrong. San Francisco is a major American city and a substantial contributor to the long term wealth of the United States. Denying military protection to San Francisco would be foolish. Joking about it, as a major network broadcaster, as he did, is not reponsible.

As opposed to say passing ridiculous edicts that endanger all of us just to give liberals a woody?

Furthermore, to O’Reilly’s federal funds assertion, San Francisco is a net payer of federal funds. We are the third wealthiest city in the country meaning we pay more taxes than just about anywhere else (San Jose is number 1). Our taxes pay for the federal funds used in schools in Kansas. And our taxes pay for the military.

Which just goes to show that money don't buy class or brains!

San Francisco is the capital of the American economic system, the system which our troops are fighting to protect. As I look out my window now, I can see an aircraft carrier in San Francisco bay. This city supports its troops but not this ill-conceived war. The people of San Francisco just hosted fleet week one month ago. We like our soldiers and sailors.

Yes, love the troops so much that you won't allow them access to YOUR kids, thus, damn near ensuring that a poorer kid will serve. Nicely done you rich liberal twats!

Oh, and as to San fran being the CAPITOL OF THE AMERICAN ECONOMIC SYSTEM? Seek counseling, a quick and dirty diagnosis might focus in on delusions of grandeur.

But we do not want to sacrifice our poorest children who are targeted by military recruiters in high schools. We would rather provide our all of our high school seniors with economic opportunities rather than one way tickets to Iraq. That is how we are expressing our democratic will within this Republic.

Look, I understand that facts are like Kryptonite to the left, they make you sleepy and stupid, however, the fact is, our "poorest children" serve in about the same proportion as the rest of the population. What? Al franken neglected to mention that, I'm shocked! Shocked I say.

O’Reilly seems to think that if your Democratic will is not aligned with his, then you should be the victim of terrorism.

No, I think he's saying if you act like a boorish ass perhaps you should rightly be treated like a boorish ass.

Umnumzana chimes in with a tasty nugget --

so basically he is advocating that in the event of a terrorist strike, the federal government shouldn’t help the Bay area, is that correct? Now wouldn’t that cause an unnecessary loss of life?

If the Bay area has such an intense loathing of the military when things are good, why should the Bay area receive assistance from said military when the chips are down.

You size fourteen asshats are like the kid who screams "I hate you!" to their parents before asking for a twenty dollar loan. Grow up, wash off the patchouli stink, and deal with the real world, before the sane folks vote you off the island.
