Smart, Serial, Well Planned?

Source: breitbart
AP: Guard to Miss Border Mission Deadline

The Bush administration has been unable to muster even half of the 2,500 National Guardsmen it planned to have on the Mexican border by the end of June.

As of Thursday, the next-to-last day of the month, fewer than 1,000 troops were in place, according to military officials in the four border states of Texas, California, New Mexico and Arizona.

President Bush's plan called for all 50 states to send troops. But only 10 states _ including the four border states _ have signed commitments.
Smart, serial, well planned!

Bi-Partisan?

Yes, the illegal immigration issue is a bi-partisan one, but probably not in the way the poster of this thinks...
Both the House and Senate passed immigration legislation, but only the Senate bill contained a path toward citizenship for undocumented workers. The differences between the House and Senate bills need to be worked out in conference, but conservative hard-liners have successfully deadlocked talks for several weeks. Now, it looks as if Bush may placate enforcement-only advocates and back off his support for comprehensive reform:
What I find fascinating, and this is a question I've asked before, why won't the left, the same left who you may recall loathe Bush with a white hot hate, why won't they beat him over the head with illegal immigration? This is an issue in which he's flopped around piteously, lied, changed his tune, attempted to subvert the language and more than anything the White House has not been able to find a message that's a winner with the American people.

In fact, this person quotes approvingly the White House 's claim that the McKennedy bill was a bi-partisan victory. How many other times would any lefty link the White House site so approvingly, inquiring minds want to know?

But what's of peculiar interest to me is found in the comments section. It's a really good debate, well reasoned, a lot of well made points, no I don't agree with all of them, but there's nothing moonbatty in there. Take a look and tell me what you think.

Author Seeks Third Terrorist Investigation

Just got an e-mail from Jayna Davis, author of The Third Terrorist. Background here. If you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend it.

Davis is seeking signatures for this petition for a serious federal inquiry into a Middle Eastern connection to Timothy McVeigh, Terry Nichols, and the bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. Davis questions Congressman Dana Rohrabacher's proposed congressional inquiry into the matter, stating that it is "nothing more than a sham." More on that here and here.

Read for yourself and, if you are so inclined, add your name to the petition. There are too many witnesses and too many questions for me NOT to sign.

Mexico Desperate to Man Polling Places

NO! I don't believe it! Source: AP/Yahoo!

Laughing points bolded for your snorting pleasure.

VALLECILLO, Mexico - This town of farmers and cattle ranchers has about 1,300 registered voters. But officials had to spend weeks begging residents before they found the 14 people needed to staff its two polling places on Sunday.

Days before the hotly contested presidential election, observers say voting sites across the country still lack enough people to provide a crucial first defense against a return to Mexico's fraudulent electoral past.
But wait -- it gets better...

Many towns have been depleted, their able adults now in the United States. Of those who remain, many simply refused, saying they couldn't afford to miss work.
Those left behind in Mexico may not be able to afford to miss work, but their amigos who have entered our country by the millions didn't have any qualms about missing a day at their ILLEGAL jobs to take to the streets and demand amnesty, legalization...and citizenship, so they can VOTE.

Unlike other countries where poll workers are volunteers, Mexico drafts much of its election day staff, in a process similar to jury duty in the United States.

--- SNIP ---

More than 900,000 workers will be needed to set up polling places and check voter rosters Sunday across Mexico, and even some of those who have agreed to help out may not show up, forcing electoral authorities to grab the first few voters and draft them into service.

--- SNIP ---

In Vallecillo, a cluster of homes and businesses hugging a highway to the Texas border, authorities spent weeks trying to track down poll workers. Because so many of the town's residents have migrated to the United States, and the rest refused to take part, they had to keep moving down the list of registered voters to find candidates.
Is this really who we want to forgive, en masse, for entering our country illegally, driving down wages, and taking to our streets to demand special breaks that citizens certainly don't get?

Nope. Me neither.

Which Of These Things...

Is not like the other...

So, let's examine this photo shall we?  It was snapped at the current San Diego County Fair and these flags have been flying for the last several weeks.

In the center we have old glory, since the fair is being held in the United States this makes perfect sense.

The flag to the right is the state flag of California, again, as the fair is being held in the great state of Mexifornia this adds up.

And to the left we have the flag of Mexico?  Ummm, is this fair being held in Mexico?  No, it's in the US, more specifically Mexifornia.  Um, is it a Mexican fair?  Nope, it is the fair of an American county.

So why in the hell is the flag of a sovereign country which we are currently at war with flying over American soil?

If you are so inclined please call the fair and ask them...

The phone # to the Del Mar Fair is 858-755-1161, then press 0. The number to the Del Mar City Manager is 858-755-9313.

Immigration watchdog suggests the call be a polite one, I leave it to your discretion.

America's Worst Mayor?

Source: Drudge

And you thought your mayor was bad?  Read on...
State: Tennessee pol used slurs, targeted soldiers in ticket blitz

JUNE 28--A Tennessee mayor spewed racial slurs, attempted to set up foes for arrest, and tried to boost his town's traffic ticket revenue by specifically profiling soldiers and Hispanics, according to a lawsuit seeking the politician's ouster from office. In a complaint filed yesterday in Robertson County Chancery Court, the State of Tennessee portrays Coopertown Mayor Danny Crosby as a boorish nutcase who has soiled the reputation of the 3176-resident city, which is located about 25 miles north of Nashville. The state lawsuit, an excerpt of which you'll find below, includes an array of shocking charges, including the claim that, after swearing in a new police officer on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the mayor congratulated the cop by saying, "Happy James Earl Ray Day." Crosby, pictured above, also allegedly sought to boost his city's revenue by setting up speed traps and directing police to "engage in profiling soldiers of the United States Armed Services" since he believed that enlisted persons "would tend to mail in their fines rather to come to Court to contest the Citations." Crosby also thought Hispanics, who were "mostly illegal anyway," would also avoid court, the complaint charges. As such, Crosby encouraged giving multiple citations to Hispanics, remarking, "We can give them all the tickets we want." Crosby was elected mayor in November 2004.
I won't question his patriotism, I will question his right to draw the same sweet air our soldier's do.

Stop The ACLU Blogburst

If it is a tool we use in the fight against terror one can bet that the ACLU will be against it. When the NY Times revealed classified information that we are trying to track international phone calls of suspected terrorists, the ACLU took that ball and are still running with it. When the NY Times leaked classified information that we are trying to track international bank transactions in order to catch terrorists the ACLU jumped on board with that too. If the NY Times doesn't leak it to everyone, the ACLU will do its best by filing freedom of Information Act requests.
In the face of suspicions that the government is using cutting-edge brain-scanning technologies on suspected terrorists being held overseas or at home, the American Civil Liberties Union today announced that it has filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests with all the primary American security agencies.

"There are certain things that have such powerful implications for our society -- and for humanity at large -- that we have a right to know how they are being used so that we can grapple with them as a democratic society," said Barry Steinhardt, Director of the ACLU's Technology and Liberty Project. "These brain-scanning technologies are far from ready for forensic uses and if deployed will inevitably be misused and misunderstood."
I know that the ACLU claim to be the experts on rights, but I'm not sure where they found this "right to know" every secret government program used in a time of war. This must be one of those rights the ACLU made up out of thin air. Furthermore the ACLU's leap that it would be inevitable that the program would be misused and misunderstood is pure biased opinion on their part.

Here is a brief description of the program.
FMRI is a technique for determining which parts of the brain are activated by different types of physical sensation or activity, such as sight, sound or the movement of a subject’s fingers. This “brain mapping” is achieved by setting up an advanced MRI scanner in a special way so that the increased blood flow to the activated areas of the brain shows up on Functional MRI scans. (See here for a description of the physiology of the BOLD response.) The whole FMRI process will now be briefly described.

The subject in a typical experiment will lie in the magnet and a particular form of stimulation will be set up. For example, the subject may wear special glasses so that pictures can be shown during the experiment. Then, MRI images of the subject’s brain are taken. Firstly, a high resolution single scan is taken. This is used later as a background for highlighting the brain areas which were activated by the stimulus. Next, a series of low resolution scans are taken over time, for example, 150 scans, one every 5 seconds. For some of these scans, the stimulus (in this case the moving picture) will be presented, and for some of the scans, the stimulus will be absent. The low resolution brain images in the two cases can be compared, to see which parts of the brain were activated by the stimulus.

After the experiment has finished, the set of images is analyzed. Firstly, the raw input images from the MRI scanner require mathematical transformation (Fourier transformation, a kind of spatial “inversion”) to reconstruct the images into “real space”, so that the images look like brains. The rest of the analysis is done using a series of tools which correct for distortions in the images, remove the effect of the subject moving their head during the experiment, and compare the low resolution images taken when the stimulus was off with those taken when it was on. The final statistical image shows up bright in those parts of the brain which were activated by this experiment. These activated areas are then shown as coloured blobs on top of the original high resolution scan, for interpretation of the experiment. This combined activation image can be rendered in 3D, and the rendering can be calculated from any angle. (See here for a brief overview of GLM analysis.)
Now why would the public need to know about this and debate it? This kind of information is for our elected officials to decide, and our enemies don't need to know about it.

Back to the ACLU...
The most likely technology to be used for anti-terrorism purposes is Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI), which can produce live, real-time images of people’s brains as they answer questions, view images, listen to sounds, and respond to other stimuli. Two private companies have announced that they will begin to offer “lie detection” services using fMRI as early as this summer. These companies are marketing their services to federal government agencies, including the Department of Defense, Department of Justice, the National Security Agency and the CIA, and to state and local police departments.

“This technology must not be deployed until it is proven effective — and we are a long way away from that point, according to scientists in the field,” said Steinhardt. “What we don’t want is to open our newspapers and find that another innocent person has been thrown into Guantánamo because interrogators have jumped to conclusions based on a technology no one understands very well.”
Who does the effectiveness of the program have to be proven to? If it has to be proven to the ACLU it would never happen. If the companies that have developed the technology are providing this service to the government as a useful means they are staking their reputation on its effectiveness. The ACLU admit that they don't understand it well. Who would better understand it than those that developed it?
The ACLU’s FOIA requests were filed yesterday with the Pentagon, NSA, CIA, FBI and Department of Homeland Security.

“These brain-scanning technologies have potentially far-reaching implications, yet uncertain results and effectiveness,” said Steinhardt. “And we are still in our infancy when it comes to understanding the underlying processes of the brain that the scanners have begun to reveal. We do not want to see our government yet again deploying a potentially momentous technology unilaterally and in secret, before Americans have had a chance to figure out how it fits in with our values as a nation.”
The Uncooperative Blogger says:
I say let’s experiment on terrorist, what better testing ground can you ask for? The ACLU has become just plain ridiculous, and they are not working in the best interest of our country. The New York Times, the leakers and the ACLU, who I refer to as the American Communist Liberation Union, are killing us in the war on terror!

So, what are we going to learn from an FOIA request? That they are using what I just told you about? Gee, that will be very helpful to the American people won’t it?
I'd just like to know how the ACLU would have us handle the war on terror. It seems they want us to fight the killers with kid gloves. If someone can name me one anti-terrorist program our government has implemented that the ACLU has approved of we might have a debate. I can't think of one. If we are to fight the war on terror the way the ACLU wants we might as well just go ahead and surrender.

Bill O'Reilly is right on target.
The anti-Bush crew, led by The New York Times and the ACLU want civilian trials for terrorists, no coerced interrogation, no rendition for terrorists to other countries, no war in Iraq, and on and on. As I opine, The Times and other committed left media believe the Bush administration -- and not the terrorists -- is the primary danger to this country.
Thats ironic, because every once in a while I think it is the ACLU and far left that pose more of a danger to America.

Gaza militants say fired chemical-tipped warhead

Source: reuters
GAZA (Reuters) - A spokesman for gunmen in the Gaza Strip said they had fired a rocket tipped with a chemical warhead at Israel early on Thursday.

The Israeli army had no immediate comment on the claim by the spokesman from the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, an armed wing of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah movement.

The group had recently claimed to possess about 20 biological warheads for the makeshift rockets commonly fired from Gaza at Israeli towns. This was the first time the group had claimed firing such a rocket.

"The al-Aqsa Brigades have fired one rocket with a chemical warhead" at southern Israel, Abu Qusai, a spokesman for the group, said in Gaza.

An Israeli military spokeswoman said the army had not detected that any such rocket was fired, nor was there any report of such a weapon hitting Israel.
What in the hell is wrong with these people?

I mean, other than being blood thirsty stone age savages, other than that, what in the hell is their problem?

Dear Israel, please take the gloves off and keep them off.

NATIVO LOPEZ: The Sensenbrenner bill is essentially an enforcement-only legislation, militarizes the border with the border wall, with the National Guard, with enhancing the authority of the local police officers to act as agents of the immigration authorities. It penalizes, in a criminal manner, employers, the worker himself, herself, or anybody that would aid and assist an undocumented immigrant. Not much different, for example, from the 1851 Fugitive Slave Act in the United States that made it a felony offense against anyone that aided or abetted a fugitive slave. The Sensenbrenner bill would essentially do the same thing, would create a felony offense against an employer, against an immigrant worker or anybody that would assist an individual.

Today's Nonsensical Spam Phrase...

Words Matter

Source: Rasmussen

In any debate words and definitions matter. Have you wondered why Washington seems to think the American people want and desire comprehensive immigration reform?

Rasmussen has an interesting take...
Early in the year, Beltway pundits assumed that “comprehensive” immigration reform would be popular with voters and that the enforcement-first approach would be problematic for the GOP. However, voters have been notably cool towards any approach that focuses on legalizing undocumented workers before enforcing the borders.

At Rasmussen Reports, we gave survey respondents a choice between two immigration bills. "One would improve control of the borders but do nothing about the status of working immigrants who are here illegally. The other would legalize the status of working immigrants who are here illegally but would do nothing to improve control of the border." By a 63% to 19% margin, voters prefer the bill that controls the borders but does nothing about the status of illegal aliens.

One of the more interesting questions raised by this turn of events is how did the nation’s political class so completely misread the issue? One answer may be found in the term “comprehensive reform.” Comprehensive is a great word from a rhetorical point of view and suggests than any competing proposal only addresses part of the problem. “Comprehensive” reform also polls well—a Rasmussen Reports survey found that 52% of voters preferred “comprehensive” solutions over reforms that focused only on controlling the border. Just 30% preferred the alternative. In that context, it makes sense for the President to sell his plan as comprehensive reform.

However, the phrase comprehensive reform probably doesn’t mean the same thing to voters that in means in Congress and the White House. In official Washington, “comprehensive” reform means addressing the issue of undocumented workers and including a path to citizenship for illegal aliens. Among the general public, circumstantial evidence suggests that many poll respondents may have interpreted the word “comprehensive” to mean taking additional steps to reducing illegal immigration in addition to securing the border. Many who say they prefer “comprehensive” solutions respond to other questions in ways that clearly reflect enforcement-first or enforcement-only approaches to reform.
In Washington comprehensive = amnesty

In America comprehensive = enforcement

Heh!

Read the whole thing, there's a lot of interesting information buried in the report, such as how much the enforcement first folks hate immigrants (not!).

Senate Backs Down

source: washingtontimes
Key backers of the Senate immigration bill said yesterday they are willing to consider a compromise that would delay the guest-worker program and “amnesty” portions until the borders have been secured…

On Monday, Mr. Specter, the Pennsylvania Republican who will lead House and Senate negotiators in the conference committee, told The Times that border security should be the top priority in the final bill and that he is open to a compromise that would make the guest-worker program and path to citizenship for illegal aliens contingent on first ensuring a secure border and improved interior enforcement…

[J]ust a month ago, many of these same senators — including Mr. Specter, Mr. Graham and Mr. Kennedy — voted against a proposal that would have set out a similar timeline requiring border security and improved enforcement before the rest of the Senate bill could proceed.
You know what we're hearing here? Noted Senate fellators of illegals doing "Whatever It Takes" to provide amnesty and a guest worker to their corporate masters. This isn't compromise so much as a strategic withdrawal to get what they really want.

Apology Doesn't Cut It

From ktvu.com. Background from Jake here.

The Spanish news agency EFE apologized to Republican gubernatorial candidate Don Goldwater, saying a story distributed by the agency on June 21 mischaracterized Goldwater as wanting to use "concentration camps" as part of efforts to combat illegal immigration.

Goldwater has called for a work program for illegal immigrants convicted of nonviolent crimes to help construct a border wall and clean up desert areas where illegal border-crossers have left trash and damaged the environment.
An apology?

EFE Executive Vice President Emillio Sanchez said in a June 25 letter released Tuesday by Goldwater's campaign that the EFE stringer who wrote the June 21 article should not have reported that Goldwater supports using "concentration camps."

"We understand the very serious connotations those words have for the people of the Arizona. Upon further reflection, our investigation has determined that your plan to house illegal prisoners in a tent city is consistent with accepted practices for nonviolent American prisoners in your area," Sanchez said in the letter.
The stringer may have written it, Emillio, but YOU DISTRIBUTED IT. Your editorial staff read and approved it. Stories don't just hop into the mix without the blessing of those you've hired to decide what gets used and what doesn't.

Of course the stringer "should not have reported that Goldwater supports using concentration camps." But it would have been a moot point if your organization rejected the piece instead of e-mailing it across the United States.

Sanchez confirmed the letter's contents when contacted by The Associated Press by phone on Tuesday.

The letter also acknowledged that the freelance EFE reporter never interviewed Goldwater or any of his staff for the story.

Sanchez said the original story was distributed to EFE subscribers in the United States and that the agency subsequently sent a correction "and a message to subscribers telling them we made the mistake."
Here's why an apology just doesn't cut it for me. A phrase like "concentration camp" doesn't just slip through the cracks. A typo is a mistake. Misidentifying someone in a photograph is a mistake. This was a purposeful attempt to inflame, and an apology is worthless in my book.

Of course, Goldwater doesn't have to look any further than his own party and his own state to be on the receiving end of such unforgiveable inflammatory speech:

I strongly denounce Don Goldwater’s deeply offensive suggestion that illegal immigrants should be incarcerated in concentration camps along the border, and pressed into forced labor.

--- press release of Senator John McCain (R-AZ)
As worthless as I think it would be anyway, I'm not holding my breath for an apology from Arizona's biggest McTraitor.

Fair Tax Blogburst

by TD of The Right Track

With any proposal, sooner or later the naysayers start their doom-and-gloom predictions. The FairTax proposal is no exception. There are those out there whining and crying about how "it won't really work that way", despite the fact that the current income tax system isn't working the way it's supposed to work. I suppose their fear is exchanging the devil they know for the devil they don't know. In this article, I'll highlight some of their worries and attempt to dispel them.

A national sales tax will create a huge black market.

Among all the arguments to be made against the FairTax, perhaps this one holds the least water. Arguments are made that this "black market" will spring up, with people "illegally trading DVDs, cigarettes, canned foods" yada yada yada. OK, illegally trading? What's illegal today about trading those items? Nothing! So what's the problem?

"They'll be avoiding the tax!"

And that's bad, why? My wife buys romance novels at a used book store now. She'd be avoiding the tax, too. She's also reading books that everyone else read weeks or months ago. I say, "Come on, black market!" Only the market won't be black. It can be right in a store front, advertising used books, consignment shops for clothes, furniture, camping equipment, you name it! A whole new type of business will emerge! That will be great for the economy, right? Right!

The national sales tax will give government another reason to make cash purchases illegal.

Those making this argument claim that paying with cash will make it easier to avoid paying the tax. This is simply ridiculous. Number one, most businesses are run by honest, dependable people. It's not the business owner that's being taxed, remember, it's the purchaser of goods and services. With penalties for those who attempt to cheat the system, the onus is on the business to be open and above-board in collecting and paying the tax. The businesses will keep a small percentage of what they collect in order to offset their expenses in collecting and reporting the tax! While the consumer might hope for a break from the tax, it would be the rare businessman who would collude with the consumer in his scheme to avoid the tax!

The tax will be used to track your entire financial life.

Coming so closely after the previous argument, you have to laugh. First folks are going to pay with cash to avoid the tax, then the tax will be used to track your entire financial life. Unbelievable. How so? You're not filing a return, are you? To do this, the government would have to:

  1. Obtain records of your purchases from retail or service center outlets

  2. Obtain records of your purchases from your financial institution

  3. Collate the records in order to see what went where

  4. Have a really good reason to waste their time doing this

But remember, the tax applies to new goods and services only. Don't want the government to know you bought that new Humvee? Get last year's model from a used car dealer. Want a couple of evening gowns? Hit the new consignment shop that just opened up a few blocks from your work. But do you know why the government won't track your entire financial life? Simply put, you're not that big a deal. Sorry to deflate your ego, but why would the government care to delve into your personal finances? They don't care what you spend money on, as long as they get their cut!

Simply put, any tax scheme can run rampant over the American people without diligent and unceasing attention on the part of the American taxpayer. It is up to you and I to keep our government on a short leash. We must realize that there are no free rides. When the government gives you something, they have to take something away from you first in order to do so.

As author Edward Abbey said, "A patriot must always be ready to defend his country against its government."

Wictory Wednesday

The Wictory Wednesday Blogburst seeks to unseat the RINO's that currently infest the Republican Party and replace them with true conservatives. As always Freedom Folks do not necessarily endorse the weekly candidate, but we do want to help people make an informed decision.

*********

This week Wictory Wednesday is supporting the reelection of Senator George Allen of Virginia. Sen. Allen has been a consistent supporter of conservative values in the Senate, earning a place in the ranks of the American Conservative Union's Best and Brightest.

Sen. Allen is a supporter of fiscal conservativism and introduced legislations to require a balanced budget. He also supported a law that would dock congressmen's paychecks if they failed to produce a budget by October 1st. The idea that legislators should be penalized for failure to do the few things they must do is one that should be whole-heartedly supported.

While Senator Allen does support accountability for school systems and supporting programs that succeed, support for school choice is notably lacking. There is no better accountability than allowing people to leave failing schools, taking tax dollars with them.

Illegal immigration is an issue many legislators are running away from while Senator Allen has the courage to take a stand. He understands what should be common-sense, immigrating legally is a good thing, immigrating illegally is a bad thing. It is obvious that decades of not enforcing immigration law hasn't worked and perhaps it's time we give law and order a chance. We don't need to demean the people who came here while the government basically said it wouldn't enforce the law, but that doesn't mean blanket amnesty… or for that matter, lavishing rewards on illegal immigrants.

Lastly, while it has become chic for members of Congress to suggest it's time to surrender to America's enemies and to proclaim that America is the cause of every world problem, Senator Allen understands that no victory came through surrender. The war on terror and Iraq are difficult problems that lesser men run away from by planting their heads in the sand. Winning the War in Iraq takes time and with plans for troop reductions under way, it's clear that "stay the course" is not only a strategy, but a strategy that's working.

Please considering donating to Sen. Allen's reelection campaign or volunteering your time.

John Jacob, a political neophyte, has ridden anxieties over immigration into striking distance of unseating Rep. Chris Cannon in the 3rd Congressional District race, according to a Salt Lake Tribune poll.
The survey of 400 likely voters, conducted Monday through Thursday, found Eagle Mountain businessman Jacob and five-term congressman Cannon in a dead heat with 44 percent of voters favoring Cannon to 41 percent for Jacob, leaving enough voters on the fence to throw the race either way.
I'm certain everyone here knows just how easy it isn't to unseat an incumbent, or force a primary upon a five term congressman, right?

the news keeps getting better for our illegal lovin (R)'s...
Among those who insist they are "definite" about turning out Tuesday to vote, Jacob holds a slight edge: 45 percent to 44 percent. And among voters in Utah County, the conservative heart of the district that stretches from Salt Lake County to Beaver County, the lead is even more pronounced, with Jacob at 45 percent to Cannon's 40 percent.
Whew, well it's clear to me that the American people, especially cultural conservatives simply want loads more illegals, yeah, that's the ticket.
"Jacob has a pretty good shot at pulling this off," says Brad Coker, managing director for Mason-Dixon Polling & Research. "It's never easy to beat an incumbent, but he is in a very good position. The question is, can he keep it together through Tuesday?"
Here's hopin' for one more bloody spike in the heart of the president's nation dissolving desires. Go get'em Mr. Jacobs and stop with the crazy talk already!

A "War for Rice Paddys?"

Our pal Gunner over at The Tanker Bros has an interesting scenario vis-a-vis Korea...

HR 4437: A Tough, Mean Spirited Bill?

Source: Vdare

It is commonly held wisdom that the House bill on immigration, HR 4437 is a bad ass piece of legislation, much, much better than it's wimpy Senate counterpart.

But is this true? Juan Mann deconstucts the BS in a great piece up at Vdare today.
H.R. 4437 undercuts the [Immigration Act Section 235(b) Expedited Removal] laws already on the books by scaling back the expedited removal authority granted (but never implemented) by Congress in 1996. The bill allows the summary removal of illegal aliens found within 100 miles of a land border within 14 days of entry. But in 1996 Congress previously authorized the removal of any [illegal] alien found anywhere in the U.S. within 2 years of entry!
It's vital to understand that the American people have no friends in Washington. They have a vision for this country that should frighten us as a nation. They wish to remake this country into something you and I would not recognize, A North American Union, with no borders between us, Canada and Mexico.

Sound like a good deal to you?

Read the whole thing.

But Wait: The Mexitude Continues...

Source: wate
Demonstrator says police used excessive force to arrest him

Mitchell claims officers used excessive force when they handcuffed and tasered him. He says he fell against these bushes when he was arrested after a brief struggle.

As amateur video of Mitchell's arrest plays, he says, "I said, 'You telling me I can't take the American flag in there?' He says, 'I'm telling you that.' I said, 'Can I take a Mexican flag in there?' About that time, they jumped me."

The arrest was caught on tape by a rally organizer, turning what was supposed to be a peaceful rally against illegal immigration into a fight for their own First Amendment rights.

Mitchell says he came to show support but wound up in jail instead. "To this day, no police officer has told me I was under arrest. No police officer has told me anything."

A Highway Patrol spokesperson tells 6 News officers could not allow Mitchell to carry the flagpole into the rally because it was too sharp.

"I say that's silly," Mitchell says. "This is the same type flag, plastic with a plastic Eagle on top and there's nothing dangerous about this. My little grandson can bend this."

In pictures of Mitchell's back, he says the faint red marks you can see were caused when an officer tasered him. "I've got holes in my back. It all happened so fast. I couldn't handle them four men, four young men."

6 News spoke to a Morristown Police Department spokeswoman. She says they have reason to believe a taser was used during the incident.
Can you read these words and not think that this police department, these officers were looking to rough up an American? I can't.

And for what? Carrying an American flag? Asking if he would be allowed to carry a Mexican flag?

This is a frightening story folks, I'm going to try to contact some of those involved, I hope they at least have some intelligent excuses for why they attacked and Tasered a sixty two year old vet in this shameful fashion.

The Mexitude continues!

Rally against illegal immigration ends with arrest and chaos in Hamblen Co.

source: wate

Hang onto your hats folks we're in for a another bumpy ride on the Mexitude express...
MORRISTOWN (WATE) -- A rally that was supposed to be peaceful ended with chaos Saturday afternoon outside the Hamblen County courthouse.

Things got testy for a while as police tried to stop a disabled veteran from carrying an American flag onto courthouse grounds.

Teddy Mitchell, 62, was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Police say the flag pole he carried was too sharp and they did not want him to take it onto courthouse grounds.
Let's recap, sixty two year old vet attends anti-illegal immigration march with an American flag. What is the police response? To remove the flag from an American citizen.

The Mexitude continues...
Organizers of the group Citizens for Legal Immigration say they had received permission to peacefully take a stand against illegal immigrants. They say they were surprised to see the overwhelming police presence when they arrived.

A Tennessee Highway Patrol spokesperson, Lt. Glenn Cantwell, told 6 News troopers were prepared for the worst.

"You never know who may show up to these things," he said.

Authorities had received word that the Tennessee Minutemen and Ku Klux Klan members might show up to protest. Morristown Police Chief Roger Overholt asked THP to assist.

Lt. Cantwell says there were about 80 armed officers at the scene. They included officers from Morristown, a police SWAT team, Hamblen County deputies, THP officers, and a police helicopter.

Officers barricaded public parking lots around the courthouse.
"The Tennessee Minutemen and Ku Klux Klan members?" Well there's adelightful combination you don't see every day, except in the fever swamp of this illegal fellating cop's fevered imagination.

The leader of the protest had this to say...
Organizer Audrey Lowe told 6 News the city and county violated the group's First Amendment rights. "One hundred percent violated," she said. "Our freedom of speech was violated. Our freedom of peaceful assembly was violated. Our freedom to fly our flag, the U.S. flag, on the public courthouse lawn was violated today-- big time."
Yes, yes they were, and unfortunately this is all too common. This is a war folks, and if you think we're fighting Mexico you're not paying attention. Let's break it down. Who benefits from illegal immigration? cultural elites. Who benefits from the cultural elites? Politicians.

We have seen this over and over in protesting illegal immigration, Americans who are standing up to the invasion are considered "the enemy." The illegals are coddled and cooed over by those sworn to upold the law while those American citizens making uncomfortable demands are arrested, ordered to leave, or assaulted by illegal aliens while the police and press stroke their pet illegal aliens and drone on about how peaceful their pets were.

This will come to a physical fight, it almost has to, because our government and our cultural elites are battling to maintain access to the slave class to which they've become accustomed. The louder we get the more violent they will become, bank on it. This is just a taste of what's coming down the pike.

This is where I think this is headed.

Am I wrong?

Pennsylvania Mayor Does His Job

Source: Monterey Herald

Mayor Lou Barletta agrees that as many as 10,000 newly arrived Latinos have invigorated this old coal town high in the Poconos, yet he pinched a national nerve and divided his own city last week by declaring war on illegal immigrants.
Barletta, 50, argues that illegal immigrants are a blight - responsible for a rise in crime, he contends - and a drain on city services they don't pay for.

"I've had enough," he said.

Barletta proposed the Illegal Immigration Relief Act ( an ordinance supported by a majority of the City Council. It would fine and penalize businesses that hire illegal immigrants and landlords who rent to them.

The ordinance also proposes making English the official language of Hazleton, removing Spanish from all documents.
What a concept. A mayor upholding and enforcing the law, and even proposing new law to benefit the citizen and legal alien residents of his town.

Anna Arias, president of the Hazleton Area Latino Association, said, "The Latino community feels very offended and betrayed. Everyone thought Mayor Barletta was a good friend, a mayor for all the people. None of us expected anything like this from him."

Arias said the English-only provision insults hard-working Latino immigrants who have revitalized the city, but don't speak good English yet. And the knock on illegal immigrants, she says, is unfair. Most contribute to the rebirth of the city.
Barletta is your MAYOR, not your friend. And as for the "hard-working Latino immigrants who...don't speak good English yet," the mayor said a translator would be provided for those who haven't mastered English YET. But, if Hazleton is even the tiniest bit like my neighborhood in Chicago, a little, shall we say ENCOURAGEMENT, to learn English wouldn't go amiss.

The mayor, a Republican, agrees "the Latino community has been good for Hazleton. All legal immigrants are welcome here." He says legal Latinos will benefit from this ordinance as much as lifelong residents.

"I can't spend taxpayer money chasing down people who don't belong in this country," he said.
Lucky Hazleton. My mayor not only doesn't want to spend taxpayer money chasing down illegal aliens...he wants to spend it to welcome them with open arms.

Regan Cooper, executive director of the Pennsylvania Immigration and Citizenship Coalition in Philadelphia, said the ordinance is "overly broad and unenforceable." She claims it "violates state and federal statutes."

"Hazleton will be opening itself up to all sorts of lawsuits," she said.
What state and federal statutes does it violate, I wonder? Without giving specifics, her statement seems "overly broad" to me.

Doug Rivlin, spokesman with the National Immigrant Forum in Washington, said he had some sympathy for the mayor.

"In the absence of any federal leadership," Rivlin said, "thousands of little towns are trying to figure out what to do."
In the absence of any federal leadership. I couldn't have said it better myself.

Guard The Borders Blogburst follow-up

The Guard The Borders Blogburst posted last night focused on the Minutemen's efforts to raise a fence on our Southern border.  This is something our government opposes, and as I've said before I'm fascinated, simply fascinated as I watch our elected representatives attempt to squirm their way out of doing what a whole pisspot of the American people want and are demanding.

Enter the Minutemen.  The Minutemen have undetaken to build a barrier on the border, though over 800 feet of it have already been damaged.  This story shows the necessity of American citizens taking this issue away from our untrustworthy government...
New border official opposes immigration fence
‘It’s not practical,’ security head says of proposed wall along Mexican line

TUCSON, Ariz. - Two weeks on the job, the new head of U.S. Customs and Border Protection said Tuesday he does not favor building a huge wall along the Mexican border.

“I don’t support, I don’t believe the administration supports a wall,” Commissioner W. Ralph Basham said in Tucson, where he met with patrol officials and agents before embarking on a tour across the Arizona desert.

Asked about proposals in Senate- and House-approved immigration measures to build security walls 380 or 700 miles long, respectively, Basham said, “It doesn’t make sense, it’s not practical.”
No Mr. Basham, our president doesn't support anything that might put a crimp in the unimpeded flow of wage deflating illegals into this country. If we're extra lucky perhaps we'll even get another one of these, or these, or maybe we'll just build the damn wall!

Ruben Navarrette: Democracy, What's That Meng?

Source: washington post

Noted fellator of illegals Ruben Navarrette weighs in today on the House Republicans plan to hold hearings on the Senate's abortion of an immigration reform bill...
First House Speaker Dennis Hastert announced his intent to hold, in August, what is sure to be a series of heated public hearings on the Senate immigration bill. Obviously the idea is to poke holes in the legislation and make it easier to defeat.

House Republicans have their own bill, which bears little resemblance to what their colleagues in the upper chamber have in mind. The Senate bill offers a concrete plan for what to do with 11 million to 12 million illegal immigrants already in the country. The House bill offers little more than chest-thumping and tough enforcement measures, such as making unauthorized presence in the United States a felony, from which the Republican leadership has already started to back away.
A concrete plan? Well Ruby if you weren't so busy fellating illegals aliens you might be willing to call it what it is, amnesty, and that the American people won't do again. And if you took the time to do something other than weep piteously for those who have broken into this country and stolen the American dream, you might be able to see just how bad the Senate bill actually is, but I'm not holding my breath.
The stunt gives Republicans a mallet that they can use to beat Democrats over the head. The House leaders have already dubbed the Senate legislation "the Kennedy bill" -- in reference to Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (D-Mass.), a co-sponsor. Never mind that the bill's other co-sponsor is a Republican -- Sen. John McCain of Arizona -- or that nearly two dozen Republicans voted for the bill. Never mind that the Senate bill was passed by, well, the Senate, and so it seems silly for House leaders to try to use it to gain an election-year advantage over Democrats in the House.
Here I actually agree with ole' Ruby, it is silly for Republicans to not give John ( I love underage Thai hookers and cheap scotch) McCain the drubbing he so richly deserves. His behavour during the passage of te Senate bill bordered on the bizarre, suggesting that ILLEGAL ALIENS would be treated like Jim Crow era black Americans and ceaselessly substituting delicious fruits and vegetables in plce of the perfectly serviceable word amnesty.
As a bonus, the hearings also provide political cover for House Republicans eager to kill the Senate bill. They can come back to Washington and claim that they were all set to do something about the problem of illegal immigration but then they heard from constituents who have cultural concerns -- that they shouldn't have to "press 1 for English" or that taco trucks are invading their neighborhoods, etc. -- and they're sure that legalizing the undocumented will only make it all worse. And so now, reluctantly, they have to take a pass and do nothing at all.
By minimizing the concerns people have at the unending flood of legal and illegal immigrants Ruby shows how little he values this country. Mocking those who value this countries heritage and have concerns that it might be getting lost in the current flood Ruby shows where his true loyalties lay, hint, it's not America.
Meanwhile, Bush has said that an enforcement-only approach won't work and that he supports the comprehensive immigration reform that the Senate bill would deliver. And so he's sure to be furious over this act of betrayal by members of his own party. Which may explain why House leaders waited until Bush left for Europe before making the announcement.
Poor president Bush, how dare those stupid American people presume to tell him no? I mean, it must be quite frystrating to have your lifelong dream of securing endless cheap labor for your big business cronies while concurrently eliminating America, bummer dude!
Think about that for a second. What does it mean when legislators use transparency and public forums as a weapon against one another? And why is it thought to be such an effective weapon? "Tick me off, and I'll hold hearings into the bill you passed." It makes you wonder what they're hiding and what they're doing in Washington when we're not looking. And it makes you shudder.
Finally he makes a little sense. The Senate bill was so chock-a-bloc full of hidden anti-American bombs and traps that the very best thing possible is that it die a quick and silent death.

Mr. Navarrette loves illegal aliens, that's his business and his right, what annoys me about him is the tone of his articles, that if you don't support illegal immigration as well you must be a (fill in the tasty pejorative phrase of the day here). Well Mr. Navarrette I've said this before and I'll day it again, an American can be any race, religion, color, or national extraction. What they can't be is an illegal alien who has only come here to make money.

A nation like the United States is a delicate balance, and that balance can be disturbed, it was once before. After the last great wave of immigration the country took a hard turn to the left and stayed there for fifty years. Any thoughts on why?

Guard The Borders Blogburst

The following article is reprinted with permission via Minuteman HQ email.

An Update from the Minuteman Fence Project Manager

First, let me say thanks to the brave ranchers who are stepping up to put their lives on the line to stop the illegal invasion. They live and work within spitting distance of the Mexican border every day. These brave men and women are working side by side with Minutemen in this war zone they call home, allowing us to secure America.

Second, let’s be clear. Not every single mile of the border or every ranch or rancher is the same. The full-on Israeli-style Security Fence is our primary design and first choice for construction. However, when circumstances dictate adjustment to a Border Fence with barbed wire and a vehicle barrier or another design to meet local requirements, we will make the necessary adaptations—and keep building.

Our plan: Do the job until our government does its duty.

    * Announce the need for the Minuteman Border Fence.
    * Ask again that President Bush do his duty and secure the border.
    * Schedule a groundbreaking to get the Border Fence launched.
    * Begin raising the $55 million needed for 70 miles of fence in AZ.
    * Work with ranchers to design fence to meet specific private landsite requirements.
    * Get steel and contractors to manage the sites.
    * Register and vet fencing volunteers.
    * Build a Minuteman Fence Security Plan to patrol fencing.
    * Set up Volunteer Crews administration and crew management
    * Continue to build fence as fast as resources allow.
    * Start more sites in TX, CA and NM as donations and volunteer capacity permit.
    * Continue Border Watch and Fence Operations until the border is secure.

Fence_Idea.jpg

A Comprehensive Design

Numerous fence design variations will be required to effectively deal with border crossings by illegal aliens, drug dealers and livestock. Derivation from the primary design is necessary to accommodate local ranchers’ specific terrain, topography, herds and other factors.

The important point to remember is that MCDC will not let Vincente Fox tell us or the US ranchers we are working with where or what we can build. No matter what the fence design, MCDC will erect a well-built fence—and fences work. We know they are effective, because we see the results; incursions reduced, and all of the opposition groups and open border supporters screaming to stop the fence.

1) Security Fence - Illegal alien crossing design: A physical barrier capable of stopping people and vehicles has been designed to fit the general terrain. It is also a daunting psychological deterrent that cuts illegal crossings by 95% or more. The security fence will not be easy to compromise by climbing over with a ladder, cannot be cut with wire cutters, breached by ramming with a vehicle, or tunneling under undetected. While no fence can be a 100% impenetrable barrier—the Minuteman Border Fence is an excellent design and will prove time-consuming enough that Border Patrol agents can be alerted and respond before the incursion can be completed.

Our fence plan will keep costs near $150 per foot.

2) Border Fence – Halting drug dealers, illegal aliens and livestock: This style of fence is necessary where full Security Fencing cannot be installed. A physical barrier with a 5 wire barbed wire fence 5' 6" high, a vehicle barrier with a horizontal steel barrier in 12’ sections welded to steel post 30” high and razor wire on the ground between the wire fence and the vehicle barrier. This barrier will stop vehicles and cattle and slow down illegal aliens.

This design similar to Border Patrol designs is intended to accomplish the following: Mexican drugs are coming across the border in vehicles and on the backs of mules. The steel barrier stops drug vehicles and is high enough to stop mules from walking over and low enough to keep them from going under. The barbed wire fence keeps Mexican livestock in Mexico. Thousands of diseased Mexican cattle are presently allowed to walk freely into the US unchecked, and MCDC is working with our ranchers to stop the spread of disease. This design is cheaper and faster to erect where urgent conditions warrant, especially in cases of diseased cattle incursions.

Schedule Facts:

April 20, 2006 – Chris Simcox announces the Minuteman Border Fence is to be built if President Bush does not send armed troops to secure the US – Mexico border by Memorial Day 2006.

May 27, 2006
- Successful groundbreaking was held in Arizona on Memorial Day weekend. First 2.5 miles of 10 miles of Border Fence erected. Continue fence fundraising through direct mail, email, national radio affiliates and national speaking tours.

May 27 to June 30
– Finished the first 2.5 mile section of fence, applied for permission on next 7.5 miles, repaired vandalized fence, ordered steel, finalized fence design/civil engineering specifications, retained two local Arizona contractors who hire legally, started vetting volunteers for work crews, completed volunteer delivery of donated construction truck, continue next 7.5 miles, acquire vehicle barrier steel, install vehicle barrier, test/install fence camera technology, plan and implement 24x7 fence security.

June 27
- Second site layout to be finished.

July 6-15
– Security Fence at second location starts.

MINUTEMEN CONTINUE BUILDING BORDER FENCE

A Successful Start on a Security Fence

The successful groundbreaking was held in Arizona on Memorial Day weekend, as President Bush refused to immediately deploy National Guard and reserve troops to secure America’s out-of-control southern border with Mexico.

Hundreds of volunteers—along with Minuteman Founder Chris Simcox, Ambassador Alan Keyes, Congressman Steve King, AZ gubernatorial candidate Don Goldwater, WeNeedAFence.com founder Colin Hanna and AZ Congressional candidate Randy Graf—dug holes, mixed concrete, put up fencing while opposition groups jeered and skeptics said it could not be done. Now MCDC continues with dedicated volunteers, engineers and contractors using LEGAL crews to work with local Arizona land owners in building mile after mile of border security fencing on private land along the border with Mexico. The first site is 10 miles long and the first 2.5 miles of Minuteman Border Fence already has been completed.
How can You Help?

Build the Minuteman Border Fence by sending donations and volunteering to participate in making the US border secure.

VOLUNTEER to Build the Minuteman Border Fence

Sign up as a volunteer and get access to the “Minutemen Border Cams” an active web based surveillance link on the fencing project. The Minuteman Border Fence is placing cameras which will be monitored via computer over the Internet by registered Minutemen across the country, so that Minuteman volunteers can observe and report illegal crossings from the computer in their living rooms 24/7.

The Border Fence is already making a difference.

Local reports indicate that drug and human trafficking has already been reduced. There are fewer vehicles in the area where the fence is under construction—proving again that having a presence and taking positive steps to do SOMETHING to secure the border reduces the flow of illegal aliens, potential terrorists, drug and human traffickers, murderers, rapists and thieves in these areas.

More than 1,500 have volunteered to build the fence.

Planning and organization continues as volunteers, materials and contractors are being coordinated in an unprecedented alliance with over 1,500 Minuteman Border Fence volunteers. In the true spirit of the Minutemen of the American Revolution these patriots have joined together to form an army of volunteers to secure our borders and protect America’s sovereignty, security and prosperity.

“The undertaking is monumental and historic” says Chris Simcox.

MCDC is beginning construction of the Israeli-style border security fence at a second ranch location in early July and later throughout the year in TX, CA and NM as more resources are marshaled. Two fencing companies that hire legally have been retained to run the jobs sites and coordinate volunteer construction crews as Minutemen volunteers are scheduled to provide labor and security. Crews of four to ten volunteers under the guidance of professional fence installers can install as much as 3 miles of fence in a week.

The nay-sayers are wrong. The reality is the Minutemen are here to stay, and this mission will be completed. In April of 2005, over 800 volunteer men and women took action to secure the border. This year there are more than 200,000 Minuteman Civil Defense Corps activists not only guarding the border but building fence, faxing our elected representatives, making phone calls, voting open border politicians out of office, starting local chapters and contributing their time, money and expertise. MCDC is an explosive grassroots effort enjoying the energetic support of political Democrats, Republicans and Independents—all American patriots who have earned the trust of the public by keeping our word to remain vigilant until our borders are secure.

The fencing will be built on private land with privately donated funds, engineering and labor. Its construction at every step will serve as an example to educate the public about the feasibility and efficacy of fencing to secure America’s borders from illegal invasion by aliens and international criminal cartels. An IRS-authorized charitable non-profit organization is facilitating, administering and reporting tax-deductible donations specifically and solely for construction of this Minuteman Border Fence project. Monetary and in-kind contributions for this effort will go directly into meeting hard costs such as building materials for this private fencing operation.

We have a monumental challenge ahead to raise $55 million. We urgently need your help for this effort to succeed. With your help MCDC can make America more secure by continuing to urge citizen volunteers to support the Minuteman Border Fence.

Be sure to send this to EVERYONE you know who wants to help STOP illegal aliens at the border! Thank you!

Diana West: Kickin' Ass & Taking Names

We've had a soft spot for Diana West around since she gave this humble blog a mention some time ago.  She has a piece up today that really gets to the heart of the matter vis-a-vis the Liberal/elite death wish.

My favorite bit...(and it was a challenge to not just post the whole thing, it's that good)
In the 21st century, however, there is something that our society values more than our own lives — and more than the survival of civilization itself. That something may be described as the kind of moral superiority that comes from a good wallow in Abu Ghraib, Haditha, CIA interrogations or Guantanamo Bay. Morally superior people — Western elites — never "humiliate" prisoners, never kill civilians, never torture or incarcerate jihadists. Indeed, they would like to kill, I mean, prosecute, or at least tie the hands of, anyone who does. This, of course, only enhances their own moral superiority. But it doesn't win wars. And it won't save civilization.
Read it!

My take on this is fairly simple, when fighting savages you will be forced to respond in kind.  If you've ever been in a fistfight where the guy starts biting or pulls a knife in a fistfight you already know what I mean.  When fighting savages you have to be willing and able to get down in the mud with them on occasion and take the gloves off or you will lose.

The people we're fighting don't follow the Geneva conventions, no matter how "nice" we are to them they will continue to slowly saw the heads off any westerner that falls into their grasp, with a dull knife, jumping up and down on their chests to increase the blood spurt, this makes for better video don'cha know.

And when I hear anyone compare Abu Ghraib with beheading videos I know one thing for certain, that person is lost to decency.  They are literally beyond saving and it becomes a moral imperative to shun them and ignore anything the have to say, it is simply too dangerous in this time to allow moral equivocators the opportunity to bind, hinder or hurt the proud men and women who serve us so valiantly.

When fighting savages you will be required to display savagery, when you compare our troops with the low-life scum they fight, when you cannot see the difference between a momentary lapse on the battlefield and a life dedicated to killing innocents, you deserve scorn and nothing less.

When fighting savages no one remains clean, you will get mud on you.  Our grandparents understood that, they knew that when the enemy committed an act of savagery it became incumbent on us to respond in kind, no one really gave a furry rat's ass about some ephemeral idea of "reciprocity" or "proportionality."  When the Hun hurt us we hurt him back tenfold and that is one of my chief complaints about this war and this President.

No matter what the ACLU thinks, or what Dick Durbin thinks, or what Cindy Sheehan says...

When fighting savages...

WAR Radio: It's Coming!

Wild Bill over at Passionate America stumbled across a post today advertising our new venture -- WAR Radio!

It was found over at Sneakeasy's Joint. who appears to have an outstanding operation going over there.

WAR Radio is an internet based, streaming radio station.  We have 25 bloggers on board, and they're quite a cast of characters.  We have Lord Misha from Anti-idiotarian Rottwieler, Pamela from Atlas Shrugs, the gals from Euphoric reality, Rick Moran from Rightwing Nuthouse, Cao from Cao's Blog, Gribbit of Gribbit's Word, GM Roper from GM Roper's Blog, The Real Teen from Right On The Right, Terry Dillard from Right Truth, Wild Bill from Passionate America, Total Kaos, Kander of Kender's Blog, The Mad Tech, Brian Bonner from The Uncooperative Blogger, MsUnderestimated, Buckley F. Williams, and of course me!

One of the things I'm most impressed by in this venture is the depth and breadth of talent and variety of these bloggers.  We have sober political analysis (Gribbit, Rick Moran, GM Roper), In your face programs (Pamela, Cao, Brian Bonner, Me) Comedy (The Real Teen, Buckley F. Williams, Total Kaos) Devotional (RomeoKat) and much, much more!

In aggregate these blogs are receiving more than a million hits a month.  We hope to be the first to break through in webcasting live content.

My show will be called "Welcome To America -- Now Speak English."  I'll be focusing on the unbelievably huge issue of illegal immigration.  Though many radio hosts have begun talking about this issue recently, most still shy away from really digging in to explain what's really going on here, it should get interesting.

If you operate a patriotic buiness that refuses to hire illegal aliens and are interested in advertising on the show or the network please let me know via comment or email, there will be some start up deals.

Immigration Hearing Followup

Source: LATimes

MJ recently had a post contrasting the difference between the House's desire to listen to the American people and the Senate's desire to shove an amnesty down our necks.

Via LoneWacko we now learn this...(idiocy and fellating of big dollar donors and illegals bolded for your reading pleaasure)
...Specter said his first hearing would be in Philadelphia on July 5 — the same date that House Republicans are to hold a hearing in San Diego, suggesting that a split-screen debate on immigration would occur from opposite sides of the nation...

...His July 5 hearing would include farmers, landscapers and hotel industry representatives...
Oh. My. God!  Does the man even retain the capacity for shame?  I highly doubt it!
